Answer by GillianI am 99.9% sure you can, but don't look at the sun with your eye when recording it. The video may or may not come out good but just make sure not to look at it with your eye.

If a solar eclipse is when the moon comes between the sun and earth, why is it still bad to look at with the naked eye? Wouldn't it protect your eyes from solar rays and radiation, etc? Please explain.

Answer by ChartlesBecause you have to stare at the sun. Which is bad. The moon will protect you from some of the damage, but it will not protect from all of it.

Answer by CirricHi. The eclipse will always occur at the moment of New Moon. There is no special name for the day of the New Moon in English. The last question is called "Wash Day". Just kidding.

It's for an idea I'm working on. I know there's one (Total Eclipse) seen in France on November 5, 2059 but what would be the one right behind that? Total or Partial.
