Can a solar eclipse happen in a sunset or sunrise?

Best answer:
Answer by Haydee RNot being an astronomer, my guess would be yes.

If you think about it the world is constantly rotating. When it's 7 pm in Italy it's 1 pm in NYC, therefore it would be possible. Since it would be sunset and/or sunrise somewhere in the world while the eclipse is happening. Its just a matter of where you are and what time zone.
