There is going to be a Total Solar Eclipse tonight, March 29th, from Brazil to Mongolia. Will anyone in the United States be able to see it? And if so, what time should I look?

A total solar eclipse plunged northern Queensland into darkness for two minutes, delighting crowds packed on the beach in Cairns. Australians donned protective glasses as the clouds parted to allow them to witness one of nature's greatest phenomena -- a total eclipse of the sun. All eyes and cameras turned to the heavens over tropical north Queensland as the moon began moving between the Earth and the sun, like a small bite which gradually increases in size. The path of the eclipse got under way shortly after daybreak when the moon's shadow, or umbra, fell in the Garig Gunak Barlu National Park in the Northern Territory, about 155 miles east of Darwin. The umbra then moved eastward before alighting in north Queensland -- one of the few places it could be viewed by humans and where tourists and scientists flocked to witness the region's first total solar eclipse in 1300 years. Which regions, if any, of the United States will be able to see the Total Solar Eclipse tonight?

I know the solar eclipse is going to happen on may 20 , 2012 but I just saw video saying that theirs going to be a big earthquake and that Nostradamus and Mayans predicted something was going to happen. Is it true what is really going to happen in 2 days I know the solar eclipse but anything else? Should I be worry about? Is the world going to end on December 21, 2012 ? I'm really scare right now

The Mayan calendar ends December 21, 2012. It's the end of something called the Long Cycle. As soon as it ends, a new one begins. They just didn't record it. It's like the end of the year. The world doesn't end when there are no more days in the year, a new year just starts instead.

If you live in a band across the southwestern United States, twilight likely seemed to come early this afternoon, well before the sun actually sets. The cause: a rare annular solar eclipse -- a ring of sunlight as the new moon, passing between Earth and the sun, blocks most, but not all, of the sun's disc. This is not the kind of total eclipse of which you usually see pictures -- the moon blocking the sun completely, creating a few moments of near-night in the middle of the day, with only the sun's ethereal corona visible around the moon's edges. The sky will darken a bit, but there will still be a blindingly bright ring (an "annulus" in Latin) of sun, and it's dangerous to look directly at it. Still, there it is a striking sight to see, if you look at a heavily-filtered image projected onto a screen through binoculars or a small telescope, or protect your eyes with No. 14 arcwelders glass (not something found at most hardware stores).

It's for an idea I'm working on. I know there's one (Total Eclipse) seen in France on November 5, 2059 but what would be the one right behind that? Total or Partial.
So what would be the last solar eclipse seen before the one in 2059?
