I traveled to Bledsoe, Texas, right on the New Mexico border west of Lubbock, to witness this rare event, an eclipse at sundown. This was an an annular eclipse, meaning the moon was too far away to completely cover the sun, but instead only covered the center giving what's called a "ring of fire".
