Is it possible to see a total lunar eclipse earlier if you are slightly farther west (i.e., Pennsylvania compared to Connecticut) due to the curvature of the Earth or another reason? If true, can someone cite a specific resource on this?

Answer by CirricHi. No the event occurs on the Moon's surface and is visible to everyone at once. There is one slight exception. If the lunar eclipse occurs directly over head the light will get to you a tiny fraction of a second earlier than if the Moon is rising or setting. About 4,000 miles less to travel. About 0.0215 seconds earlier.
