How does solar eclipse effect pregnant women?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant, and everyone is telling me that the solar eclipse, which will be May 20, 2012, can affect the unborn baby, has anyone else heard this?

Answer by KathyI've never heard that one. I've heard that more babies are born around full moons and on tuesdays though!

for my science project we have to do a model of how night/day happens ; show solar and lunar eclipse ; and show how one year happens. Also the different phases of the moon (waxing crescent 1st qtr full new waning gibbous . . . )
We have to have one moon , one earth and a flashlight as the sun but i have no idea how to start or what to do with the flashlight and how to answer those questions about how stuff happens .

Answer by baluannular eclipse because there will be only one black spot and the other place on moon is not in umbra so it forms as a ring
