Answer by sciencenerd211well the SOLAR eclipse on August 1 they are usually around two minutes but one was2:27 and 2:14 ,2:20 the next total solar eclipses will occur in North America in 2017 in Europe in 2026 and in Russia in 2030.

Answer by bikenbeer2000There is a cycle known as the Saros, which is the recurrence of similar eclipses after a period of 18 years and 10 or 11 days. If an eclipse occurs, it's possible to say. with a fair degree of certainty, that another will take place after this period, although the area of visibility moves westwards, so successive eclipses are not generally visible from the same location. The eclipse which Thales predicted is thought to be that of 28th May 585 BCE. The eclipse preceding that date by one Saros period was the eclipse of 18th May 603 BCE. Both these eclipses were visible from Thales' location in the eastern Mediterranean.

Some pandits have stated that husbands too should do the same, and that they too should not handle any sharp objects or a pen for these hours, and it would be best if they returned home and rested for a few hours with their wives. After all, no one wants to take a chance with their unborn baby!Other beliefsMany people believe that during an eclipse, the earth is plunged into darkness, which is a negative force.
