Question by cire: What astrological phenomena were occurring when the Sun transitted during January and February 1962?
I recall that people born during Aquarius in 1962 have extraordinary planetary influences. Note: The British singing sensation Susan Boyle mentioned the fact that she was 47, born in 1962 or perhaps 1963. Tellingly, she very well might be a member of this elite group. Anyone know Susan's birthday?

"The amazing total solar eclipse of February 5, 1962 displays an enormous charge of planets in Aquarius (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, ALL 7 traditional planets), with Uranus, Aquarius ruler, conjunct with Regulus, the most powerful fixed star in heaven."(1)
That was the only major astrological event that I can think of but here (2) is a full ephemeris of the year for your reference.
As for Ms. Boyle, we'll have to wait a bit until they publish her birthdate and then we'll know if your theory is correct. I couldn't find her birthdate on any of the fansites.
