Okay, I have been looking EVERYWHERE for the answer to this, and I cannot find a straight answer from any source. Yes, I know that the sun, the moon, and the Earth have to line up. And yes, I know that you see lunar eclipses more often because it is visible to half the world and you have to be in an exact spot to see a solar eclipse. But is there something to do with a certain angle or the celestial equator? Please help me and DO NOT GIVE ME THE LINK TO WIKIPEDIA!

Answer by MorningfoxYour question is unclear to me. You say that you know that the sun, moon, and Earth have to line up, and then you ask about angles? "Lining up" is an angle!
The precise frequency of eclipses involves the orbit paths of the Earth, moon, and sun. While there are some almost-regular patterns, there are no exact patterns.
And what's the matter with links to wiki? Next we'll have people saying "no links to web pages with the letter "e" ". Makes as much sense.
