Affordable Solar Eclipse tour?

Hi, Ever since I was a little kid I have wanted to see a total solar eclipse. The next one is November 13 2012 and I want to see it but all the tours I have found cost $ 3000 or more. I am single and going alone. I don't need a 2 week cruise or a 1 week cruise. I just want to go to the ocean and watch the eclipse and return home. What I am really looking for is a 2 day cruise to the ocean where the best spot to see the eclipse is. Im trying to find the cheapest ticket available. I see carnival cruises to the Bahamas for $ 300... That is my ideal price range but I know I can keep dreaming. Any links you can provide with details would be greatly appreciated. I want to be in the middle of the ocean for a FULL view of the Total Solar Eclipse.

Today, as never before, the planet is focused on the arrival of one particular date --- December 21, 2012 --- the day the ancient Mayan long-count calendar will end. Indeed, for centuries, millions have wondered what the day will portend. The uncertainty has been fed by the remarkable number of predictions spanning hundreds of years, in which many religions and cultures have suggested the day will bring a cataclysmic end to the world.However, despite the concentrated attention on the various predictions for this date, few seem to be aware of the end times prophecies of an obscure 12th century Irish saint and mystic named Malachy.Yet, could it be that Malachy's prophecies offer the most significant proof that the looming "Doomsday" date is real, and provide the greatest insight into what it will mean?Maybe so.The origin of Malachy's prophecies traces to the year 1139 when Malachy travelled to Rome to visit Pope Innocent II. Malachy was a successor of St. Patrick, and served as the Archbishop of Armagh and leader of the Irish Church in the diocese established by St. Patrick 700 years earlier. When Malachy arrived in Rome, he petitioned the pope for the pallia vestments to serve as further evidence of his authority over the Irish Church. (The petition was not granted on that visit, but was later awarded posthumously, and Malachy would later become the first Irish saint canonized in 1190 by the Bishop of Rome.) Before returning to Ireland, Malachy reportedly had a vision of a line of the next 112 popes who would follow Innocent, beginning with Pope Celestine II, until the end of time. The visions were written down and given to Pope Innocent as a gift, and according to legend, were locked away in The Secret Vatican Archives until rediscovered four hundred years later.The prophecies were first published by Arnold de Wyon, a Benedictine historian, in 1595, as part of his book Lignum Vitæ. However, skeptics have challenged their authenticity for centuries due to their being hidden for so long, with some claiming they are a forgery, and others claiming they were written by the famed French mystic, Nostradamus (d. 1566). Irrespective of the date or origin of the prophecies, many believe they've proved very accurate identifiers of the line of popes, both before and after their discovery in 1590. This is wordy-so please bare with it.
Met a Cappy in February 2008 (at work)-started dating in late May (our relationship stayed out of the work/gossip treadmill).I'm Leo/Virgo cusp with Scorpio rising. Don't know a great deal other than born 9 Jan 1963-during a solar eclipse. He's a widower-his partner died x-mas eve just passed (2007). He got a guilt attack and felt that it was too soon for us to date-but that a part of him just wasn't willing to give up on us. I said that until he got himself sorted we should part, at first he agreed and we agreed to part friends which lasted a week, then he showed up on my door-step and made it clear he WOULD not give up and that we SHOULD be together. So we tried. We had some difficulties and admittedly I over-reacted when he did the Cappy-no contact thing. But, we seemed to get past it. Then all of a sudden he disappeared completely (late July). I waited a few weeks and then called, he was super-friendly, but I felt like he was stringing me along. I didn't accuse him of it-but instead said "you've made it clear that you've lost interest", he waivered and could neither confirm or deny (late August).So we became sort-of-friends. In October, I found out that he was now bonk-buddies with a woman in my department-heard it from her (this guy ‘choosing’ her over me is like choosing a month-old, half eaten pizza that you found in the trash over a freshly prepared roast with all the trimmings).He showed up on my doorstep the next evening, we chatted for about 3 hours, bonk-buddy subject was not bought up. We started IMing each other (very infrequently), and stayed in contact outside of work that way. We had virtually no contact at work (once upon a time he was running into me around every corner-in a building with 25 floors-any of which I could be on at no particular given time). In early November I resigned-as I had a new job, I was yet to tell him-when-I find out that apart from the bonk-buddy (that he’s till bonking)-he ‘tree trunked’ (apparently) about 30 women since his wife died (he'd been talking himself up in the office to the gossip queen).I IMed and told him to delete my number, I then sent him a cutting message-I made it clear that I knew about the bonk-buddy, and couldn't care less....but finding out that he'd disrespected his dead wife and (living) daughters by having so many sexual partners coming and going AND bragging about it-was DISGUSTING. He never replied to this message.
I know that Cappys a big on planning-and this whole issue was no accident-both girls (at workplace) are HUGE gossipers and the bonk buddy is LOUD and renowned as being vitriolic when crossed. There is no doubt in my mind that he planned on being caught AND having

I just learned about eclipses and they seem very interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I wanted to know when will be the next eclipse (solar or lunar) be that can be seen from Fort. Lauderdale (that is a city in Florida in the Broward County)?!?!

Answer by bikenbeer2000The next two solar eclipses visible from Fort Lauderdale won't be very easy to see because the Sun will be low in the sky. There will be an eclipse at sunrise on 3rd November 2013 and another at sunset on 23rd October 2014.
Much better will be the large partial eclipse on the afternoon of 21st August 2017: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEplot/SEplot2001/SE2017Aug21T.GIF
The eclipse will be total to the north of your location. See if you can arrange a trip to South Carolina.

You will be able to see the beginning of a partial lunar eclipse on the morning of 4th June 2012, before the Moon sets, but much better will be the total lunar eclipse of 14th - 15th April 2014, which you will be able to see in its entirety: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/LEplot/LEplot2001/LE2014Apr15T.pdf
