Is there different variations of a total eclipse?

Question by Chris: Is there different variations of a total eclipse?
In other words, is the position of the moon during a total eclipse exactly on the same spot everytime? I have heard of an annular eclipse in which the moon appears smaller leaving a thick ring around the moon's shadow. I was thinking maybe there was variations in between the two that are visible to, maybe, a high precision instrument since every total eclipse to the naked eye is exactly the same.
Sorry i meant variation in position as in distance.

There's one coming up in november, and apparently the earth and solar system will be aligned with the centre of the galaxy for the first time in over 26,000 years. What is the deeper meaning of it all, for us as people on this earth?

Best answer:
Answer by Donut TimA total solar eclipse is not a symbol. It is an actual event.
It is not related to the center of the galaxy, it has no meaning and it occurs on average 1 to 2 times a year.

How much should I lowered and the best amount in my Mitsubishi eclipse 1999 rs?

Question by Jaime: How much should I lowered and the best amount in my Mitsubishi eclipse 1999 rs?
I have 18s with 225 tires so i would like to know what would be the best amount to lowered on springs 1.3? 1.5 ? or 2 inch? i just want your opinion no criticism!! just asking for more info
Also, what else would i need to do if i decide to lower my car?

Best answer:
Answer by gracien69Well Jamie, criticism aside ...I'm an car enthusiast not known for "opinions" but I will offer fact for that matter. The "Mitsu" was a Chrysler captive import on the now defunct Eagle side, due to slow sells Plymouth Laser exited from previous years and the Eagle line was discontinued in 1998 leaving just the Mitsubishi Eclipes model line-up for sale. Your 2nd gen RS model came with a DOHC Chrysler unit, and these cars are not known for reliability.
Lowering it that much more will mean aggravating future problems with more intense bumps, vibrations, and rattles. So if your Eclipes is reliable to you... do you really want to mess with a good thing?
Did you know a short run of 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipes will be sold?
Production of these models ended in August 2011. Mitsubishi executives plan to stay in the US market with just two of its best sellers... the Endeavor and Lancer platforms.

EDIT : Buy a SE VENDE sign.
