Q&A: Why is it bad to look at a solar eclipse?


Question by Kyle: Why is it bad to look at a solar eclipse?
If a solar eclipse is when the moon comes between the sun and earth, why is it still bad to look at with the naked eye? Wouldn't it protect your eyes from solar rays and radiation, etc? Please explain.

Answer by ChartlesBecause you have to stare at the sun. Which is bad. The moon will protect you from some of the damage, but it will not protect from all of it.
