Q&A: Why is a total solar eclipse unique only to earth?


Question by cthegrayone: Why is a total solar eclipse unique only to earth?
Solar eclipses happen on the other planets with moon(s) in this solar system, but a total solar eclipse, the way it happens on earth, is unique only to this planet...WHY?

I know the answer, l just want to know how many of you know it or have ever wondered about this...

Answer by Mark SBecause the distance and size of the moon between the Earth & The Sun is about perfect for a total eclipse with the 'diamond ring' effect at the end of it.
