Q&A: How does an older person get travel insurance?

Question by John S: How does an older person get travel insurance?
I am 65 and find the insurance high for my trip to China in July for the eclipse. I also plan to go to the total solar eclipse in Japan in 2035 when I will be 91.
It seems I will not be able to get insurance at all over 70 so how do older people go on holiday?

Answer by Prophet 1102What kind of travel insurance do you want? I'm 51, I never purchase travel insurance. If you're talking medical insurance, you need to speek with your local insurance agency. If you live in the USA you can buy supplemental medicare insurance that should also cover you if you were outside the USA .
