This video shows you a more complicated representation of where one can seen the may 10 2013 annular ecliupse than my other video. The blue lines demark lines where a certain percent of the sun will be obscured by the moon, with 0.20 saying that anyone viewing the eclipse on that line will see at most 20% of the sun blocked out by the moon. Outside of the blue lines no eclipse will be observed because the moon will never appear to block out the sun from those places. The red line in the center of the blue ones shows where an annular eclipse will actually be observed, with the greatest eclipse marker on the red line indicating where the eclipse will be annular for the longest amount of time from an observor's perspective. The green lines show where the eclipse will be and when. I'm guessing they trace the tallest portion of the eclipse but I have to admit I am not certain. The subsolar point refers to where on earth an observor will see the sun as being directly overhead (useless if you ask me). Finally, the pink lines show regions where the sun will rise or set while the eclipse is in progress. The closest pink lines to the center indicate the limits for anyone being able to observe the entire eclipse. The center lines indicate the outer limits for being able to view the annular part of the eclipse, and that's why the annular track stops there. FInally, the outmost pink lines show the limit of being able to observe any part of the eclipse at all, and anyone beyond them ...
