Question by Jubal Harshaw: Advice on inexpensive astrophotography?
I have an 8-inch Dob and am planning on getting into basic solar/moon/planet astrophotography. Would a webcam be the best choice (my budget being from 100-300 dollars)? If so, what tips do you have for me and what accessories should I buy (adapters, software, etc.) Be specific and thanks in advance.
So, basically, all you really need is a camera (with time-lapse feature, if that's the correct term) and an eye-piece adapter?

Answer by Search first before you ask itWebcam photography works best with a driven telescope (which a Dob isn't). I've liked using a good point-and-shoot with manual focus features such as most of Canon's "A" series model cameras.
