Question by Martin: Is it possible to buy Maxeon Solar Cells separately?
So Sunpower Maxeon Solar Cells are basically the best of the best PV cells at the moment or so I've heard. I was wondering instead of buying the entire module from Sunpower is it possible that Sunpower's most efficient PV cells could be bought separately? directly from them of course.

Answer by roderick_youngVery unlikely, if you're an amateur. Sunpower doesn't even sell its panels to the general public. If you have some kind of university research, possibly your department can arrange a deal with them.
More efficient cells can be bought from spectrolab.com , but understand that they are MUCH more expensive. Last I checked, they were hundreds of times (yes hundreds) more expensive per watt than crystalline silicon.
