Q&A: Is the May 2012 Solar Eclipse, Total?

Question by FinAidGuy: Is the May 2012 Solar Eclipse, Total?
I am planing on attending the May 20th Solar eclipse. Is it going to a be a total eclipse if I am directly on the path? I plan on being near Page, AZ.

Best answer:
Answer by BillA total solar eclipse will take place on 13-14 November, 2012.
It will ONLY be visible from the town of Cairns, in Australia.

An annular solar eclipse will take place on May 20, 2012 (May 21, 2012 for local time in Eastern Hemisphere). This is not a Total Eclipse.
The annular phase will be visible from the Chinese coast, the south of Japan, and the western part of the United States and Canada. Guangzhou, Tokyo and Albuquerque will be on the central path. Its maximum will occur in the North Pacific, south of the Aleutian islands for 5 min and 46.3 s, and finish in the western United States.

So you should be able to see it in Page.
