I need 3 easy to understand facts about a solar eclipse?
I also need to know what would happen to your eyes if you stared at a solar eclipse.

Answer by oklatonola1)Solar eclipses are when the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun and the Moon's shadow falls on the Earth.
2) Solar eclipses happen when the Moon is close to or at an apside, the points where the Moon's orbital plane and the ecliptic intersect
3) The distance between the Earth and the Moon varies, so sometimes the Moon is too far away during a total solar eclipse to cover the entire Sun at totality. That is an annular solar eclipse.

You would burn a hole in your retina or optic nerve and become blind. That's why you instinctively close your eyes when looking at the Sun too long.
