Question by : How is an annular eclipse of the sun different from a total eclipse?
Best answer:
Answer by ChrisAn annular eclipse is when the sun and moon are in line (eclipsing) but the apparent size of the moon is less than the sun so there is a border of sun around the moon.
A total eclipse is where the moon completely blocks out the disc of the sun leaving only the corona visible.
