Question by lowertheboom: Why do total solar eclipses seems so rare in Northern Hemisphere United States area but?
more "frequent" in other parts of the world? Just looking at the scheduled eclipses til 2020 , certain general areas seem to pop up more than others.

Answer by Geoff GEclipses occur with about equal frequency everywhere on Earth. The United States is actually a fairly small country in terms of surface area, compared to, say, Canada or Russia.
