Q&A: How long is the average lunar and solar eclipses ? And when will the next total eclipse be ?

Question by Lexa B: How long is the average lunar and solar eclipses ? And when will the next total eclipse be ?
The last total eclipse was on August 1, 2008. Im not sure if that was lunar or solar which is where i also need assistance. But even so, how long does each eclipse last for (on average) ? And when will each of the next eclipse's be ? Thanks (:

Answer by sciencenerd211well the SOLAR eclipse on August 1 they are usually around two minutes but one was2:27 and 2:14 ,2:20 the next total solar eclipses will occur in North America in 2017 in Europe in 2026 and in Russia in 2030.
