sorry the space did not allow my full question: Will the next Solar Eclipse on May 20, 2012 be visible from California's bay area (Hayward, Union City, Oakland. you know this area)? If it does then what time?

Answer by birchardvilleobservatoryYes. Bay Areans (?) will be able to see the eclipse at about 80 to 90 percent. Head north a couple hundred miles (Eureka?) and it will be more covered (if not by the Moon, then by the fog!)
