Question by ThulasiDharan: Can corona, solar prominences and solar flares be seen during an "annular" solar eclipse?

Answer by GeniusNot so good, you really need a total eclipse. The photosphere is so bright that even a thin ring of it drowns out the fainter features. The same is true just before and following a total eclipse when just a tiny chunk of the sun makes the corona disappear almost immediately.
Of course you can spot all these features at any time by using equipment that effectively hides some or all of the light from the photosphere.
