Question by hellcrapdamn: 3rd grade project on the moon. Looking for ideas.?
My son is doing a demonstration project the solar system and I'm just looking for some more ideas. So far we've considered making a box for either an eclipse simulator or a phases of the moon simulator. I've also thought about trying to simulate crater creation somehow. Any ideas would be cool. Thanks.

Simulation of one of the most beautiful eclipse, the 2011, January 4 partial solar eclipse. At 41° 28' N and 12° 53' E observing point (Latina Italy, where I live), the solar disk darkening will be approximately of 70%. The Sun and Moon rise to 120° (ESE). The Moon starts to cover the Sun around 8:00 am, reaching the maximum coverage at 9:15 am and leaving the solar disk around 10.30 am. The Sun and Moon set to 240° (WSW) around 5.00 pm. The simulation carried on with Stellarium 0.10.5 resumes the most significative phases of 2011, January 4 Sun eclipse as we'll actually see it.

I am born on a full moon eclipse, 1st day of the chinese new year. Aquarian sun and moon and libra rising. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about all this that can advise me on a suitable, harmonic career avenue or some suggestions at what I would be good at ????????? Born @ 9,55pm in Sydney Australia.
