On Sunday, 11 July 2010 , a Total Eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses Earth's southern Hemisphere. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow crosses the South Pacific Ocean where it makes no landfall except for Mangaia (Cook Islands) and Easter Island (Isla de Pascua). The path of totality ends just after reaching southern Chile and Argentina. The Moon's penumbral shadow produces a partial eclipse visible from a much larger region covering the South Pacific and southern South America. As seen from the Earth, a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, and the Moon fully or partially covers the Sun as viewed from some location on Earth. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth. Q&A: What time will the total Solar Eclipse be on July 11th 2010?
I'm trying to find a chart of lunar and solar eclipse dates. Can anyone help?
Question by SiriusFan13: I'm trying to find a chart of lunar and solar eclipse dates. Can anyone help?
I'm writing a novel, and my main character is contemplating eclipses. The story is set in 1863 Kyoto, Japan. I was wondering if anyone has any idea where a chart may be that gives solar and lunar eclipse dates in this region for the 1800s. I know it's a weird, specific question, but I want to know if my character has possibly seen either of these events, or if he needs to be speaking from someone else's description of the event. Thanks!

Thus adding to the malefic influence of the Solar Eclipse. The Pivot of the Eclipse - The Sun is in own Sign. The Nakshtra of the Moon is Poorva Phalguni and the moon is also in Leo Sign of the Sun. The effects shall be felt for a long period as one of the principles is that the effect shall be felt for the years depending on the duration of the eclipse - in this solar eclipse effects can be felt for about 4. years.5. Now, the following specific predictions and general obstructions are made with regard to this partial solar eclipse:i) some times evil effects starts taking effect even before the actual eclipse.ii) The eclipse takes place in the 8th House as the Sun is in the 8th house with the Moon, Saturn and Ketu expected by Rahu and Mars. In the absence of these charts, only general effects shall be indicated.iv) There can be sudden deaths of various persons including of VIPs and the marked enmity against the country shall be noted.
