This video shows a partial solar eclipse event captured through a telescope of the Hong Kong Observatory on 15 January 2010. The eclipse began at about 3.33pm, reached its maximum at 4.54pm and ended around 6.00pm when the sun and the moon descended below the horizon in succession. The eclipse had a magnitude of 0.674, meaning 67.4% of the sun's diameter was obscured by the moon at maximum eclipse. Find out more on the Observatory's webpage www.hko.gov.hk
