1. Partial solar eclipse takes place on Tuesday - the 11th September 2007 The Solar eclipse starts at 1556 hours and shall end at 20.07 hours i.e. the solar eclipse shall last for 4 hours 11 minutes. 2. Capricorn Lagna rises at the start of solar eclipse. Lagna lord Saturn is in 8th House with Sun and Ketu aspected by Rahu. Mars also aspects this combination in 8th house. Thus adding to the malefic influence of the Solar Eclipse. The Pivot of the Eclipse - The Sun is in own Sign. The Nakshtra of the Moon is Poorva Phalguni and the moon is also in Leo Sign of the Sun. Partial eclipse of the Sun takes place on 11th September 2007 - Tuesday whose lord is Mars. Now, the following specific predictions and general obstructions are made with regard to this partial solar eclipse:i) some times evil effects starts taking effect even before the actual eclipse.ii) The eclipse takes place in the 8th House as the Sun is in the 8th house with the Moon, Saturn and Ketu expected by Rahu and Mars. Accordingly, many evil results and natural calamities are indicated and the human beings shall suffer to a large extent.iii) The study of the eclipse chart goes with the chart of the country concerned and its ruler. In the absence of these charts, only general effects shall be indicated.iv) There can be sudden deaths of various persons including of VIPs and the marked enmity against the country shall be noted. my grandma was on her way home when she spotted the sun right before the solar eclipse that night. She said it was the most beautiful sight ever, she said there was some sort of pattern underneath the sun, and it was reflecting the suns light in a certain way, she said it was hard to explain. "There were sort of a crystal pattern under the sun, just hovering there, so beautiful and bright, with many colors" Said me grandma. What did she see?

Answer by Mr.WeatherIt is known as a "sun-dog". It is caused when the light rays from the Sun strike ice crystals that make up a cirrus cloud. The light is refracted and caused the multitude of colors your grandmother saw.
